All of our handcrafted spirits begin under MD’s test batch umbrella. The gins, vodkas, whiskeys, liqururs, cordials alike undergo a series of mash bill tunings followed by internal and public tastings. Visit our tasting room for a chance to try some of our more experimental liquors.

Ideal for cocktails like chocolate martinis, mudslides, white Russians, espresso martinis, and chocolate Manhattans.

Aroma: Rich Chocolate, with a slight bitterness that goes into a subtle woody-earthiness, all with an underlying vanilla backbone just in time for winter, the only place you will find bottles and tastings with this warm oakey spirit is in our tasting room

Barrel Finished Gin

In our most recent test batch series we took our flagship Botanica Number 9 Gin and rested it in fresh American oak barrels. As the spirit was sucked into and pushed out of the wooden sides of the barrel it developed hints of vanilla and oak flavor. Not so powerful that it dominated the liquid but just enough to compliment the 9 botanicals distilled into the base of the gin.

Just in time for winter, the only place you will find bottles and tastings with this warm oakey spirit is in our tasting room
